BTE PRIMUS RS for rehabilitation of hand and upper limb problems – £68,000

The Occupational Therapy Department at Musgrave Park Hospital was happy to receive funding from the MITRE Trust for the purchase of the BTE Primus RS.  The BTE Primus RS is a multi-function, multi-adjustable machine that replicates virtually any activity, this includes the degree of force and time required to perform the task.  The computer component stores information with assessment and rehab templates, which can also generate reports to show patient progress.  The BTE Primus RS is for patients with musculoskeletal problems of the hand and upper limb.  These patients may be referred to occupational therapy via Orthopaedics, Spinal Cord Injury, Amputees or Rheumatology.
